This is our fourth release of a signature single cask, single malt whisky. This cask has been aged four 4 years in a 100 L barrel. It is produced from South African and selected specialised malts. These are brewed and fermented with our proprietary yeast, before being potstilled twice to bring out its characteristic maltiness.
We carefully age it in our specially designed 100 L hybrid oak casks, combining the best of STR ex-red wine French oak staves and new American oak heads. The spirit is matured until the perfect marriage of wood and malt is achieved. This whisky is non-chill filtered for its optimal natural colour and taste.
Appearance: Golden.
Nose: Exquisite and intricate layers of caramels, tobacco, leather, cloves, white peach, herbs and dark chocolate, crafting a distinguished and captivating aromatic complexity.
Palate: A rich, full-bodied, creamy expression featuring initial sweetness, developing into a creaminess, with nuanced bitter-sweet flavours.
Finish: A prolonged spicy finish glides from light wood notes to a luscious assortment of dried fruits, leaving a complex sense of warmth and refinement.
Pairings: Paired snacks include almonds, dark chocolate, cranberries and biltong.
