The Ascendance Brandy

The Ascendance Brandy invites you to lift your glass in celebrations of our second single cask brandy expression. This extraordinarily rare release is limited to just 36 bottles.

It is crafted from wild-fermented Chenin Blanc grapes harvested from old Swartland vines. Distilled twice in our pot still during our inaugural 2020 commissioning test runs, the spirit rested from for five years in Cask A1, a STR French Oak Octave cask (50 L). Despite a significant angel’s share, the result is a distinctive golden brandy, rich and creamy, with complex layers of dry earthy and spicy fruit aromas that ascends to a new plain of brandy flavours. Bottled at 55% ABV, it offers a long, memorable finish. 

As the second edition in a four-part limited single cask brandy series, this collector’s piece features natural color and is non-chill filtered in a 500 mL format.
